I have to say today was a good day- didn't even have to use my AK

Oct 28, 2004 16:45

I got some very good news today.

I passed the Alaska bar exam!

This means I will have a life in January and February because I won't be studying! And it also means that I might end up staying in Alaska after all. We'll see how it all works out, but I am glad to have passed because it means I probably won't have to take any more bar exams ever

I know! Thank you.

If it was possible to "squee" in a manly way, I would do so right now!

That seriously rules. I know I already told you that, but I thought you ought to have it in writing.

It's probably one of the best things to have happened to me in my entire life, and I'm not exaggerating. It makes it much more likely that I can stay here and make a living down the road. And I never thought it would happen, I figured I would have to take it at least twice because so many people do.

I did a fair amount of drinking this evening. (I typed afternoon by mistake first.)

Haha, I would fly you folks up if I could afford it. Anchorage is a great place. You should definitely come up here if you ever get the chance. I'll be happy to show you around.

Oh man, I'm having trouble typing but not so far gone that I can't go back and fix my typos. Thanks Glen. I have always felt like we have a lot in common.

That is an excellent and very appropros icon. I commend you on your icon choice :)

That guy looks very familiar to me. Was he in that Robin Williams movie? Where Robin was a teacher and they put on a Shakespeare play and the young actor killed himself because his father didn't understand him? The title of the movie escapes me.

Do you ever use instant messaging? Maybe we can chat sometime.

The title of the movie is "Dead Poets' Society," but this isn't from there. It's David Boreanaz from Buffy and Angel. In one of the funniest scenes on television ever, the character is asked to dance and he immediately imagines what he would look like dancing. This is a small portion of the dance.

I don't use instant messaging because I'm not very computer savvy. One time I did have it set up, but then I couldn't figure out how to get the damn thing to turn off. However, maybe we'll meet at the next lj meet-up.

Ah, I know who he is. My brother and sister were both big Buffy/Angel fans. And as far as Dead Poets' Society goes, I was a little drunk when I blanked.

I have never gone to an lj meetup. In a way, it scares me :) All these people are real?!
