[Something about this child... Seems really similar to L. Maybe it's the lack of emotion -- or at least, in Sergio's case, lack of anything apart from a broody sulk -- and the hidden intelligence behind that young face. He's nearby, and he's walking back from just having spoken to the PokéCenter's Nurse Joy about a part-time job there. He was just reading the PokéGear's network entries as he was walking, so he'd have read Sergio's text as well.]

You don't have to worry so much about budgets for now. I'll help provide for you if you'd like.

[Light might seem to be a little fond of Sergio right now - while Sergio is the quiet type, his resilience, considering his apparently age, was a thing that Light appreciated, even considering they had to camp out in the woods the night before.]

[he had returned to his charts after making the entry (and ... kind of scolding his pokemon...), finding the paperwork soothing. he looks up at light when he speaks, though; his expression does not change much, nor his tone, but he is certainly less cautious of light than he was a few days ago.]

... It's all right. You probably need that money for you and your team more than I need extra.

[He'll observe Sergio's movements for a bit, but remain neutral on the point]

If you say so, then. If you feel up to it, you can also get a job here - the best paying one, as far as I can tell so far, is a desk job at the PokéCenter. [he's fairly certain Sergio can handle the paperwork there well enough, from what he's seeing here.]

[somewhat reluctantly;]

I asked about those . . . It looks like I'll have to, since I don't have another source of income.

[reassuringly]

I'm sure it wouldn't be too bad. If you can handle this sort of paperwork and calculation, what you'll find at the Center wouldn't be much harder.

You think...?

[though, his biggest concern is not the workload, but the nurses . . . girls = somehow more difficult than mounds of paperwork.]

Sure I do. There's nothing to worry about at all.

[of course, he's only saying that because he doesn't know Sergio has a problem with girls.]

[doesn't sound entirely convinced, but...]

Well... I guess I'll check it out.

[hmm.. There's his age to consider, too...]

Unless, of course... It's not the workload you're worried about...

[buh did he make himself look incapable.]

It's fine. I'll ask about it.

[nods, with a warm smile]

By the way... Midnight... That's a nice name for him.

I thought so, too. ... It's good that he likes it.

Was there a meaning behind the name? [just curious... and kind of just asking for the sake of asking]

[it's slightly embarrassing how much poetic thought he put into it, so he cuts down the explanation by a lot.]

I was thinking what kind of names would suit it . . . And midnight is dark, like the color of its fur. And it sounds better than the other names.

[... yeah he's. not going to go into it. but he is rather proud of it.]

[he might just be a tiny bit curious of what other names Sergio had thought up, but he'll let that question fade from his mind.]

I see! In any case... Good luck with the job interview. [a warm smile. Almost brotherly, in fact]

[... slightly awkward. but light's been nice so far so maybe it's just him...]

Thanks. ... Are you going to be working in the same place?
