This story was relentlessly amazing from start to finish, and it was an absolute pleasure to wait for each chapter. Well done, and congratulations on finally finishing it. The ending was beautiful!
I found your fic just a little bit before you went on hiatus, and I'm so excited that it's finished now! I spend my whole Sunday re-reading the whole thing, and I enjoyed it just as much as I did when I first read it (maybe a bit more since I have an ending now!).
I am so glad that you were able to finish HOI. I have been following for the last five years, not as long as some. HOI was the first fan fiction that I ever read and it led me to read hundreds of other. I think that yours is the best. :) Thank you. I am also happy for you. This was a great undertaking and it is encouraging to think that things can be finished. Thank you.
"I'm going to Hell." The longest cliffhanger ever...
I started reading it when I was junior high. That was... some yers ago, yes. And like many others I friended you so I could know how it was going. True to speak I suspected years ago that you never would finish it, despite all that you had said.
Thank you for making all these years spent in waiting worthwhile.

Since I've been following this story, I've gone through three service providers, lost two jobs and joined two now defunct anime clubs. In all that time I waited patiently for the final resolution of Hearts of Ice.
I checked at your website, and later your live journal, once a week to see if life and/or writer's block finally eased up and allowed you to finish the story. I kept quiet because I was sure that you had more than enough of people harassing you to finish. I've seen that kind pressure drive a number of authors out of fan fiction entirely.
I enjoyed the final resolution, both the expected (Ranma and Akane finally getting back together) and the unexpected (Yuki-onna reuniting with her mortal family) parts. Thank you for persevering.
It's nice to see you back. I noticed that another name from the past, Nightelf, has also started writing again this year. Could it be a trend? Maybe the next fan fiction from Richard Lawson is right around the corner.
