First off let me say that the Watchmen trailer actually fills me with some hope. (grapevine says Moore feels the similarly) Then going form that trailer to a trailer for a movie that claims to be the day the earth stood still made me nauseous from vertigo. (and no, of course I don't mean "from Vertigo")
Tight writing, in a comic book movie??? indeed. I never felt there was a part that didn't belong. A part we could easily do away with
There were only a couple lines that I thought were a little contrived much and even less that were blech.
My complaints: long running time which isn't an actual problem except there were some ripe people in this audience, without the B.O. patrons- by all means, take all the time you like; Batman himself gets a little outshined but honestly, do I care? No. No sir I don't.; and of course the big one- Christopher Nolan, just where the hell do you go from here? I want this line to continue and I trust that they will be excellent, but no Batman movie can ever match, let alone exceed, what I have just seen
