By far, my most common bad dream theme is being somewhere far from home and realizing that i'm supposed to be somewhere (usually somewhere I actually am supposed to be the next day). Sometimes it will happen in a completely unrelated dream, I'll just realize, hey, I have work/school today! And then I start freaking out ( Read more... )

i STILL have dreams about being late for college. ...or that i'm missing up to 5 or 6 days of a one-day-a-week class on Thursdays, and that I'm screwed with a NC/F on my record.

I used to have nightmares like that all the time. They're horrible. You start getting reality confused....

Nah, dude. I've been pretty darn confused a couple times by dreams. Not necessarily by nightmares, though (usually my "nightmare-ish" dreams are more bizarre than scary). There was one in particular, quite a few years ago, where in my dream we were going somewhere with dad, but we hadn't gone yet, and when I woke up I had no idea whether there was actually a trip planned or not. It took me a few hours to verify that we weren't actually going anywhere.
But I haven't really had any bad nightmares. That I can remember. When I'm worried about being late for something, I usually sleep really lightly and don't dream much.
Glad you weren't late for work.
