This site recently opened up where you can help classify galaxies. It's pretty neat.

Also water has been found on an extrasolar planet for the first time. Another article mentions that they're pretty sure that if they find a planet with oxygen, there's gotta be life on it. It also mentions that some new planet-finding projects were canceled so we ( Read more... )

I second the "Stupid Moon and Mars" comment. Super duper lame.
I read a NYTimes article the other day about that planet with steam on it. Pretty sweet. It's a shame it's 1300 degrees F.
I'll have to check out that classifying galaxies website later. Sounds cool.

Yeah, the Moon and Mars aren't worth it. Keep sending robots to take the pictures, and spend some of that science funding looking for life. Finding live things on another planet would be the coolest news in the history of news.

What about this compromise: we keep going to the moon and Mars, and focus on terraforming. I plan to retire on the moon, and I want it to be lovely by that time. And Mars is the perfect place for the Wongs to start their buggalo farm. We can't give up on them!
