Awesome! I'm so happy to hear that you're having fun and seeing lots of cool stuff. Looking forward to more photos!
Oh, and I was talking to Devin and June, who are much more familiar with Asian culture than I am (obviously), and I asked them what you should get me from Japan. And they said you should get me Geta, which I thought was an awesome idea. But I don't know if you could fit them in your luggage. I'll be happy with anything, really.
I really want to go to that spaceship bar! They should build one in Pullman.
in pullman? where? anyway, don't worry, after riding in it, i decided i'm going to buy one of my own, except it will also be able to fly and go into space. and i'll hire people to fly it around while i drink in the back.
i'll keep an eye open for geta. i saw some the other day, but they looked kinda cheap.
"you should learn how to make some delicious japanese food and then teach me and together we can host a delicious japanese-themed dinner party! yay. and it could also serve as a "welcome home andrew and aaron tell us all about your trip" party!"
I think of you two adventurers often! Thanks for the pics, post more! With you two in them. I mean, I can see pics of Japan anywhere, but pics of my two best buds in actual real Japan? hella rad. I bet I'd love that place :-)
Word. Yeah, you'd like it here a lot. Though if you go, make sure to go with Andrew or you'd be as useless as I am trying to communicate here!
Tokyo is the shit. So much technology. So much infrastructure. So many cute girls. Such efficient use of space and so much cool electronics.
We'll post more photos soon. And also we have some video. Ben, believe it or not, but your camcorder has been working for the most part. It only tried to eat 2 of my dv tapes but I rescued them. I think the trick is not trying to tape over old material. I just keep buying new ones everytime the old ones fill up. Not very efficient, but we're successfully offloading video onto my mac. I don't have much in the way of editing tools though so we may have to wait until we're back in Seattle before we can show the video.
