So its almost the end of nov...
Thought it about time I made some type of meaningful update on this thing.
Nothing has really changed in my life of late, I am still unemployed living at home, getting by. But there have been some cool, and not so cool things happen since my last post, and so I will summarise, and i have even put them into nice little lj-cuts as well..
Jobs:-
I aim to put in 3 applications per day, and for the most part that target is being reached I think I get information back from about 10% of jobs I apply to, which is kind of a pain, but alas it can be overcome.
I have had a single interview since Oct, and it was with Atkins, the interview was over the phone and was horrid. They asked the same questions as I had put on my application form, and just dictated it… oh well, I didn’t get any face to face interview with them, but from the way they treated me I am not sure it’s a good idea to work for them anyway.
Coming up on the 8th of Dec I have an interview for NEFTEX, which I am kind of exited about, all the language they use is a lot nicer and it’s a real geology job using skills I am really good at (even though I say so myself). I have to do a presentation on some recent research which may be a pain, but we will see.
Re-enactment stuffs.
I have been doing lots with re-enactment groups of late, spending most my Sundays hanging around with the Vikings!’s groups whom are based in Birmingham and Leicester, Its all good fun and I am picking up invaluable shield dill skills, and they are trying there hardest to get me to go to events with them, so that’s cool.
What I really have enjoyed though is going to Leicester to train with the longbow, I have always seen myself as a bit of a melee bloke, but I have had so much fun using the longbow of late, I think I am going to get my kit together to become a bowman.
Other things.
Still doing lots with the cam, kinda whish I could do more but from where I am living at the moment its hard. I really need to try and see more mates in the week as I am frequently getting cabin fever within the house, not seeing a reason to leave it for days at a time.
But today I shall leave, with an interview in the bag iam going x-mass shopping this afternoon, and I think I will try and see quantum of solace at 3:15..
