I've heard it's fooled by the police by doing a simple negative on the photograph and increasing the contrast, though that could just be the police scaring people off it.

Wouldnt want to get caught by the camera and prosecuted for some offence realted to using the spray as well though. Could do with it though....the points on my licence are getting a little high.

Looking at the 'Dutch Police Test' picture, the plate's almost legible without manipulation, so I'm sure it could be pulled out without much bother.

And yes, trying to obscure your number *is* illegal...
