summer housing.

Does anyone know of any good resources for finding off-campus summer housing (I'm not taking classes over the summer, but I would like to be in the general area of the U-district because of a research position)? Ideally it would just be subletting a room because... I'm poor ( Read more... )

There will be LOTS of ads in The Daily in the coming weeks, and if you wait long enough prices will most likely start to drop significantly as people become more desperate.

It's not the cheapest option, but when I needed to stay at UW for the summer, I sublet a room at Nordheim. A lot of people down there get locked into a year lease but need to leave for the summer, so there are a lot of subletting opportunities, if you get really desperate.

The bonus part for me was that I sublet a room in a four-person apartment, but since none of the other roommates were ever there (I guess they had the money to keep paying for it without living there), I had an entire four bedroom apartment to myself for $600 a month for the whole summer!
