Seniors and graduate students get first priority for registration (for good reason). If you really want to take the class, I would suggest emailing the instructor, then attending the first day of class. Usually they are accommodating.

The order is actually:

- Grads, graduating seniors, and students with eligible disabilities
- Seniors (135+ credits)
- Juniors (90+ credits)
- Sophomores (45+ credits)
- Freshmen
- New students
- Non-matriculated/tuition-exempt students

You'll need to fulfill a variety of gen ed requirements while at UW, so consider taking some classes to meet those requirements.

Graduating seniors = seniors

You might want to reply to the post and not to me. I'm not sure if he gets the message if you reply to me.

You only get two quarters of graduating senior priority, and you only get it if your advisor submits graduation paperwork to the registrar.

It's because the current juniors, sophomores, and freshmen have priority.

I think it's normal. A lot of the classes in my major are usually full of seniors and juniors; it's rare that a freshmen or a sophomore to get in. I wouldn't sweat it - you can take other classes in the mean time.
