Naraku watches Kagura with contempt, and Kagura stares back with twice as much fervor. Sometimes, she wishes that she could laugh at them and their stunning eyes. They look like blood on a battle field without warning and Kanna wonders what her eyes are like.
Snow?
Clouds?
She thinks for days, peering into her mirror trying not to blink. She cries and forces them open until they stay closed for hours and it clicks. If their eyes are blood, then hers are the bones of a decayed hero and sometimes, it doesn't scare her as much as it should.
