2009: A Johnny's clusterfuck?
Big plans! Johnny's (allegedly) has big plans for 2009 involving just about everybody. While there have been rumors such as the ever popular "SMAP is disbanding!!1" and "KAT-TUN member change whut?", Johnny's is really cooking up a much larger project. Allegedly.
So what is this rumored project? Can you say "Dream Units"? For example:
- Kimura Takuya of SMAP pairing up with Yamashita Tomohisa of NEWS.
LOL seriously? They can both wear big ugly perms!
- Nakai Masahiro of SMAP with KinKi Kids.
Probably would have some jammin tunes (nakai's singing notwithstanding), good dancing, and funny interviews.
This is only the beginning of the super units. KAT-TUN, NEWS, and Kanjani8 members will be separated, thrown in a blender and mixed into new groups.
It'd be nice if they could step out of You & J but okay. No mention of the rest of Johnny's but they'll probably have some part in all this.
Now before anyone has a heart attack (or am I too late?), know that all of this is temporary. Johnny's isn't that crazy. On New Year's Eve there will be an event at which all the new units are gathered together then put back into their original groups. NTV and Fuji are battling it out for the television rights to air the event.
This is all sposda happen in April. I'm guessing the 1st.
Okay, 1) as if. Would SMAP be down for this? And 2) I find Johnny's kickin it Hello! Project style with the shuffles kinda interesting. I mean, that's essentially what the Countdown is, right? And fans seem to enjoy the intergroup mingling. Will it be fun for such an extended period of time? Who knows.
Now I'm curious. What would your "Dream Units" be? And what's your criteria? It's okay to be shallow. XD
