Good Lord...does this happen every year?

Saint Nicholas just attempted to stab me with an ice pick. Saint Nicholas.I have never in my life been so thankful for my military upbringing. I believe I have managed to barricade him out of my rooms for now, but it was not an easy thing to ( Read more... )

I...believe so. Apparently, St. Nicholas managed to cut my arm when I was driving him back outside my door. It is bleeding, but a tourniquet and some careful bandages should do the trick, I think.

Honestly, why does the City insist on corrupting a saint in such a manner!

That man is a saint?

You don't sound so well, sir. Have you considered going to the hospital for your injuries?

Yes, he is. At least, he is on my world. He gave to the poor, and now he is the symbol of Christmastime, when we give gifts to family and friends.

Hospital? No...it should be fine. The bleeding has stopped. I have poured alcohol over it to keep it clean, and wrapped it in bandages.

But perhaps once I am sure I will not be attacked should I open my door, I shall go and ask one of the doctors to take a look at it.

One of those... people attempted to accost me on my way to work. I escaped unharmed, and have barricaded myself in my apartment. I do not approve of this situation at all.

That they would attack women is unconscionable. I am glad to hear that you escaped unharmed. Should you need anything, all you need do is ask, Sisi, and I shall endeavor to get it for you.

They have twisted our saints, and are mocking us, Elisabeth. This is perhaps one of the worst sins this place has committed.

I do not think going out would be wise for anyone, but I thank you for the offer.

They mock religion in general by calling themselves deities.

Perhaps not, but I could hardly ignore an urgent request from my wife, danger or no danger.

Indeed they do. I am likening them more to the selfish and self-serving gods of Greek myth, however, which helps me tolerate such a moniker.
