It seems to be the wedding season all over. One of my best friends is getting married in June and I'm hosting the shower next weekend. A cousin got married today. My fridge is covered with save the date cards and invitations. I spent part of the day tracking down presents on a registry at Target. And, to top it off, I just finished reading a

I suppose it depends on your definition of feminism and what you want. for example, people have problems with dad walking daughter up the aisle because of the old symbolism. I didn't care about this nor did I feel like this symbolism applied to me. I wanted dad to walk me up the aisle. I had no feeling that I was "property" to be given away. Other people have problems with any talk of children -- since we want to have kids, I have no problems with that. It really depends on what you want, I suppose.
(I have heard of a lot of things, but never an AA-themed wedding. I wish you went so you could give a full report!)
