Ok, Time for me to be vain for a moment as I ask everybody for advice on a shoe purchase for moi.
Vans has brought back MY shoe for a limited time (its a seasonal thing), and I'm conflicted where it comes to color

I like the black or grey...

...the khacki is nice, but if you're using it as an every-day shoe, plan on it staying khacki for about half an hour.

...Black on black is a bit too gothic/skaterguy on the boardwalk for me.

...Navy could work, but also be very bad, depending on how often you wear black shirts (many black shirts = forgo the navy)

yeah, exactly what I thought about the khaki, and as for the navy, most of my jeans are black anyway....

but I'm not! nor am I a guy... I am neither and both.... at least mentally. Physically is a WHOLE different matter.
