I have the opposite problem. I get apprehensive about handling other players. If I'm in charge of anyone else I stress out over making sure that they're entertained instead of trying to play my own character. But I'm perfectly happy to be someone else's pet.
4) Learn to snap back to myself quicker? Not sure how yet though.
This is why I stopped doing Intercon. I need too much time to recover between characters. If I ever go to another Intercon I'd probably end up GMing more than playing just to keep my sanity.

Having a PC on a leash means I'm also responsible for them and can very easily ruin the game for them. It's not that I find being in charge challenging so much as stressful.
