Der Untergang

Yesterday, I saw the (relatively) new German movie Der Untergang. I guess it caused quite some scandals in Germany when it was released just recently - and has just been released to quite a lot of press in Denmark. It is about Hitler's last few weeks, when he was living in various bunkers in Berlin, whilst the Russian army pushed ever closer. ( Read more... )

hey. It's been a while. How are things in Denmark? Falun is all the same, except that the spring has come and it's actuallt light when I go to school.. Are you planning any trips to our fantastic little town any time soon? We'll have you drink Vodka on Peter's porch. Take care.

I've actually been partying this weekend with another swedish Peter - this one is from Gøteburg and is a friend of a student here, just visiting. I told him "oh I have a swedish friend named Peter - he is from Falun" and his response was "holy shit people actually live that far north?" hehehe... but depending upon how it all pans out, I may indeed come travelling up north. Elsewise, you guys are all more than welcome to head down below the border! (plus we have much cheaper booze here!)

Hey veej,
i know a guy who saw the kubrick expo in berlin, he said it was great. i saw der untergang in oslo three weeks ago, there was this neo-nazi in the back of the movie theater shouting out "i totally agree" whenever hitler made any racist/ nazi remark... sort of shows how the movie is still relevant...

came back from china friday, it was such a great trip.. definitely recommend going there.. like the cartoon!
