So I have applied to a couple more jobs and have a query to send to someplace which probably isn't hiring but who knows, and I have a story more or less ready to send (and a pile to resend), and food to cook.  And at some point a decision to make regarding the world o' fanfic and my role in it.

On the subject of ears, one of my coworkers has a German Shepherd that she got as a mid-sized puppy. And his ears went in! He was a funny-looking dog for a while. Then they straightened up, and now they look normal. He's a handsome dog.

Cupcakes seem a good way to respond to pondering. Wish I could have one. *sigh* Maybe I ought to make some while I ponder, too.
