Let's see.  I've learned not to expect to be paid by the post for my blog anytime in the forseeable future -- per-view and percentages of sales only.  I've been ripping old backing off the last four tiles (that was what slowed me down, btw, about putting them up before) and they are drying outside on a car hood.  I've chipped some of the old ( Read more... )

Sounds like Bruce should be somebody's SAR dog, all right.

And sounds like Wilma won't be! Well, she sounds cute and friendly, so somebody will enjoy her as a dog friend. Either way, training them as you do will give them an excellent chance at a good home. Their new humans won't have to go through so much getting them to behave!

You are a good person. Me, I think I would have a hard time with any activity that required I keep cadaver samples around. Seriously. Even though I am Catholic and if you slam that stuff into a fancy enough box you can tell everyone it came from a saint and charge admission. (But then, you can also do that with a chicken bone, if you keep the box closed...and for that matter, doubt you'd even need a bone...anyway...)

Just call me squeamish...

Anyway, the world needs good search and rescue dogs and I am glad Bruce seems like he might be shaping up into one.

Now if you ever need YARN samples for them to sniff, then, I'm your gal...

I expect I might have problems with cadaver stuff around the house. Though I do have my uncle's ashes up in my study. But those don't smell. Hmm. Wonder what a dog would smell of them?

Maybe I'd better quit thinking about that. I'm squicking myself out!
