Okay, so one of the notification systems I'm tied into just sent me a petition regarding the health care reforms.  It mentioned that the current health companies -- insurance et al -- are spending $1.4 million per day on lobbying Congress in their interests

Oh God. If it weren't for the fact that I can't tell you anything about health care reform, I would have a great deal to say. Volumes.

(I swear, keeping my mouth shut is the absolute hardest thing about this job.)

You realize how insanely tantalizing that is, right? I now have daydreams of socialized medicine and the execution of health-care co. CEOs as treasonous endangerers of the public health in this bold era of prospective bioterrorism dancing in my head.
