I mean, woah.

Done list:

Hubbie to work
Two doctors' appointments made (one 'cause I'm 40 and the other because apparently I'm a bit hyperthyroid, which explains some things)
Kid fed
Dogs fed
Kid read to
Some of the dish mountain excavated (mountaintopping is not always bad)

To-Do list:
Edit several existing stories
Toy with title: "Can't Hide Your Lion Eyes ( Read more... )

to-do list, work, writing, publication, dogs, baby things, anthology, science

Reread my last post and realized I had repeated myself quite a bit. Sorry, all! I think it's a side effect of the aforementioned thyroid thing, which apparently does do funny things to one's brain.

Ooh! Good luck, Erika! And have you tried Hub?
And Clarkesworld... although this one's a very hard egg to crack. But maybe just for me. ;) These two are the fantasy/scifi mags I can name off the top of my head aside from Fantasy.

You might want to friend Charles Tan. He's our resident bibiliophile stalker. I get my writerly news from him, including that one about Apocalypse Hope.

Hey, thanks! I was looking at Clarkesworld, also Asimov and Apex and a few dozen others. I do love duotrope.com. For whatever reason, F&SF is my great white whale or gleaming summit or whatsie. But if they say no I'll just try the others.

Back to researching air quality. Woo.

Postscript: Hub's submission page says "We do not envisage re-opening for unsolicited submissions before the beginning of 2010." That's just never a good sign. Sigh.

Re: that last note; It's probably people not LJing at all. There's a lot of that going around.

A lot of people have wandered off in my online life, having, I suppose, either real lives or other, distinct online lives to which I have not been invited. Or they go to Facebook, which I loathe and despise and avoid, or they tweet, I suppose. As my brother said, "Hey, I don't want that much info about my OWN life..."

But, as a phenomenon, genealogy email list postings have been declining. Either genealogists are dieing off, or stopping talking to each other, or new people don't realize yahoo exists, or....

yeah. At any rate, you are not alone. Although I have to say, some people's lj's I don't miss as much as others...

People drift here and there, I suppose. I can't access LJ at work and by the time I get home, I'm worn out from dealing with the Mean Girl BFF Club. They're exhausting.

I read a lot of stuff here, just don't have much to say these days, I guess.
