Not too long ago, I went on a history bender and read firsthand accounts of life during WWII on both sides of the conflict. I feel happy to report that damn-all in the current USA resembles anything at all about the Third Reich.  Seriously.  I have not spotted a single solitary public hanging of someone who voiced dissent, let alone rows and rows

Don't forget all the nefarious plots involving Homeland Security! I had to have a very frank and unpleasant discussion with a family member about how DHS, in creating the FEMA Corps, is not arming America's young people and turning them into the Hitler Youth.

Oh, and GSA is buying all the guns and ammunition in the country so the liberal government can enslave the American people.

Our Government is simply not efficient enough to carry off nine tenths of the plots attributed to it. The private sector, perhaps, but the GSA???

And by this I am not slanging the Government or those who work for it (I have been a Government employee, and my DH still is.) Plato pointed out that the REASON to have a Democracy was BECAUSE it was the least efficient form of government and could therefore do the least harm...

And yes, this is me. I own you about a dozen contact points - film at eleven...
