Happy birthday to me!

Happy birthday to my LiveJournal!

I am no longer a teenager. The last 23 minutes have been amazing, so far.

Maybe now I will start acting more like a grown-up.

In response to your previous post... my sister, Erin, recently had a fender-bender as well.

In response to this post, happy birthday! 20, eh? Speaking of growing up, you might do well, meaning it might be therapeutic for you, to watch Harry Harris' Alice in Wonderland. I think it takes the cake for best Alice in Wonderland ever made. Natalie Gregory is the main character. Sammy Davis Jr. is in it, Ringo Star is in it, Lloyd Bridges is in it, Carol Channing, and several other excellent actors star in it.

I took a 2 month and a half trip out of state for my 25th birthday. I'm creating a piece of music based on a dialog of Plato. The Phaedrus. The only other person in history to set a dialog of Plato's to music was Leonard Bernstein - the Symposium. Have you read either of them?

I've also been attending a conservative Jewish congregation (synagogue). If you'd like to know more about it I can inform you. Peace!!

How's John Mark doing?

Fender-benders are NOT fun.

I've never seen that film, but I will definitely put it on my list. :) Anything with Ringo Starr..

Where did you go on your trip?

Was Phaedrus the one where he talks about the souls and chariots and stuff? I get it confused with the Phaedo dialogue. I loved the Symposium. I have read both of those.

Synagogue, eh? As a Christian? That might pose some problems...

Pretty well, last I heard. He's taking a sabbatical next semester, which will probably be good for him. It's always good for those professor-types to take a sabbatical.
