Not the Central Promo Site yet. But here's Biennale '08! (said with a tad bit of disapointment)

The entire place was litted with these tiny old school bulbs.

Some of the (in my opinion) better/strange works

Medium: Objects
What: stuff found in boxes that foreign workers send back to their family. Totally reminds me of Wall-e! cubes and cubes of everything!

Medium: Photography
What: Something about development.

Medium: Soap and human
What: soap figurines scattered under a tree. Apparently, some old man comes at 7pm each day to clean himself - part of the art. I don't know the message behind it.

Medium: Photography
What: Chewing Gum figurines and SALIVA. damn. gross.

Medium: Sketches and Objects.
What: Something about the mind and a tuning fork. I LOVE THIS. so sciencey and interesting and relevant.

Medium: Video
What: Don't know. It's disturbing. A head grows from a seed planted in the ground. Ends up being burnt to ashes, yea the head.

Medium: Video
What: Old lady performing a ritual. super scary. Ends with her crying like in maga a lot of pain. Sounds as if she's giving birth/having s*x.

Best yet!
Medium: Moving Object
What: Swinging swing made of tube lighting. I stared at it for mega long and went past the boundary without realising.

Medium: Gourds
What: A man growing gourds and shapes them with his hands everyday until faces appear on them.

Medium: Plastic figurines
What: Centipedes that lined a red carpet. Personally, I think it's strange and :/ There was a kid who sat on one and rocked it like a horse. The volunteer just went berserk.

Medium: Photography?
What: Satellite image of Singapore

Medium: Paint
What: Paint! streams and streams of it.

Medium: Knitted Stuffs
What: Underwear. No duh, it's knitted stuffs! :D (yea including the entire bike and bird!

Medium: Photography
What: Earth from above.

Medium: Photography
What: Colours of these photographs are tweaked so that they look like paintings. They really do look like paintings!

Medium: Photography
What: Don't know. But they're good.

Medium: Book in a tank
What: It floats, it's a real book and it's amazing. I stared at it for like mega long.

Medium: Paper?
What: Flowers millions of it. One side's black, one's sides colourful. I personally adore the black side. They're intricate and stunning. [: Apparently the artist drew every single one of them and had his friends cut them out. Poor friends HAHA!

Medium: Clay?
What: Makes use of mechanics to create a block of spinning clay at mega fast speed. So you see like a droplet of water/milk kinda thing.

Medium: Video
What: Feathers floating around millions of places and 2 voices conversing about their childhood. The lamp was hung in the middle of the room, don't know why.

Medium: Video
What: Zooming in and out through the walls of many houses, peeking intot he lives of people living within. Then zoom through the city streets and the jungle. It's great, the only video i sat through.

Medium: Figurines
What: Check the juxtaposition.
