Drumroll, please...

As I mentioned in my last post, I'm trying to lose weight. But, because I'm trying not to be totally obsessive about it, I only "weight" myself once a week (and by "weight" I mean "make an officially recording of my weight" because I actually step on the scale every couple of days to make sure I'm on track) Friday is my official weighting day (I'm ( Read more... )

Congratulations on the weight loss :D *tosses confetti*
You're doing right by only weighing yourself once a week - keep to the same day and time (and more or less same clothes) and that'll give you a more accurate picture of your progress :) And the slower you lose the weight, the better - it's less likely that it'll pile back on

Err, and so it's not just me talking out my ass, I've been doing Weight Watchers for ~2 years now and I've lost ~55 pounds . . .

*snugs* Thanks. I weigh myself butt nekkid (because I want to be really accurate and it makes me weigh less ^_^) Though this week I changed from weighing myself in the afternoon to the morning (I read you typically weigh less in the morning because it's before you've eaten or drunk anything) which might be why I "lost" more than usual. This is actually the most I've ever lost in a week (by almost a pound) so I'm still trying to figure out how I did it so I can get it down to a slower pace (I know people typically recommend 1-2 lbs a week but I'm shooting for 2-3lbs... I'm very naughty ( ... )

Being more domesticated doesn't mean you're an old woman - it just means you're not a kid anymore ♥

And it should be "weigh" and "weighing", I think.

Congrats on that weight loss -! That's a lot for a week, but I guess it's still early days, so you will be losing more, faster, at the moment.

And good luck in your test! Pretty cushy that you get to take it home with you o.o I've never come across that. ~♥

*sniffles* B... b... but I liked being a kid! Now, I;ve grown up and have to take on responsibilites and all I get in return is the ability to legally smoke and drink... but I don't do those anyway!!!! But I do get to legally get porn... so maybe it does even out ^_ ( ... )

Some small consolation, then, I guess XD I'm still in denial about no longer being a teenager (you don't get anything for being twenty ;_; Just the fear of growing up XD)

Time of day will affect it a bit, yeah. I think early morning is the ideal time... or so I read somewhere ?

So... If you can take it home, what's to stop you (hypothetically) from cheating and looking up the answers? :/ I wish I could take my Lit. Theory exam home with me XDDDD

You can get porn! That's good! (though I once bought a hentai video when I was still 17)

I've read the same thing so I changed the time I weighed myself. Plus it makes it more consistant since I don't have to wait X-hours to weigh myself after eating each time.

Oh, she always lets us do the test in groups and with open notes and books. She's a pretty cool teacher (then again, it's Microbiology so maybe she just does that so we don't all fail the class miserably)

Well done on the weight loss!

And yes, your to-do list definitely needs some gay sex. Because let's face it, gay sex makes everything better.

Thanks.

Yes!! Gay sex is like a cure-all. Bad hair cut? Gay sex. Car broke down? Gay sex. Arthritis? Just rub a little gay sex on that and you'll be ready to go.

We could market that and be rich!

At least it helps distracting you from your problems. Pity the poor people who don't see the wonderful benefits of gay sex. It makes the world a better place.

Your weight loss is amazing and if this is the first time you've tried to lose, you can expect it to come off pretty steadily until you reach about 20-30lbs from your goal weight.

One word of caution though: the minute, and I do mean MINUTE, you stop exercising and counting calories you will gain ALL of the weight back. I went from 235lbs to 170lbs and then stopped watching when I ate, now i'm back up to 220lbs in less than two years. I didn't even gorge myself on junk or anything just...stopped counting calories. Not only is that kind of thing terrible for your body but it also becomes harder to lose the weight each time. :/ That's why something like 90% of overweight people stay overweight.

But, armed with that knowledge, we know what we have to do to be in the successful 10%. For who have "fat genes" it has to be a lifelong struggle - stay strong and keep up the excellent work and you will be thin and healthy (and stay that way) in no time. I know you can do it. ♥

PS: WELCOME BACK OMG! :D

Yay! It is the first time I've ever tried anything like this and I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. I keep dreading the day I get on the scale and it just. won't. move. I'm already planning my method of attack for when I do hit that plateau ( ... )

That's something I need to do but never have the money/time for... grocery shopping... My cupboards are so bare...

I guess I'll just eat out today. Again.

Congrats on the weight loss! We all have goals, hmm? I managed to somehow lose about 30lbs last summer. And now I'm struggling with the last 20 I need to lose to get to my weight. I keep flucuating between 145-150... And it's annoying me. But I think I'm getting on track again with my cutting out so many things. I should probably start going to the gym too maybe... But I'm so LAZY~~~

And because you need more gay sex in your life = my icon

Aw, poor cupboards. They need to be loved!!

I can understand the time problem (because I spend, like, an hour searching coupon ads each week before I even go shopping) but eating out usually costs even more than making homemade meals. And they're healthier!!!

Congrats!! That's so great (and I would kill to fluctuate at that weight *envyenvyenvy*) I'm lucky that I have the space to exercise at home because I can so -not- afford a gym membership. Plus I'm also lazy ^_^

*luffs your icon* Yes! Gay sex!!!

Well... I'm a really... small person. So weight shows on me QUICKLY. But, not to brag or anything, but I used to wear size 15-16 and now I wear size 9-10. So it has been a big improvement. I feel a LOT better with the weight gone too. People say I won't be able to get rid of the last 10-20lbs I want to get off... but I know I should just keep eatting good and work on toning my body into the shape I want... but I want a nice little scale measure too ( ... )

Aw! You're so adorable! *wants to pick you up and put you in my pocket* XP And I've noticed I feel much better with the weight I've lost too- I have more energy, I feel better, I feel sexier ^_^ I think I'm gonna have the same problem with the scale thing. I, of course, want to look and feel good, but I'm a perfectionist so I want to have objective proof (the number on the damn scale) that says I'm the right size ( ... )
