Tests, tests, tests, oi!

May 13, 2008 15:50

*cracks knuckles* Geez, nothing like staying up until 7 o'clock in the morning studying for a test, right? I spent all freakin' weekend sippin' on coke and rum finishing my take-home test on microbial genetics, which killed me, and then I had to study until the wee dark hours last night for my test today in my Medical Terminology class.

I'm kind of ( Read more... )

*pimps out a good series*

Nabari no Ou!

Watch it~~

It's a brand new series this season, so only like 5 episodes are out subtitled so far but I LIKE it. It's got a strong female character in it, and lots of pretty boys. It's about ninjas in modern day Japan. And it's COOL! A little violent. Just how I like it.

You guys really make me feel like I SHOULDN't go to school. It sounds like so much work...

Instead I'll go look for my lime-green socks because I NEED them this weekend and I can't find them anywhere.

Oh, I read the wikipedia entry and that actually sounds really good (dude- ninjas! How can you not love ninjas!) I think I'll be adding that to the list of downloads (now I just have to find the space for them all)

No! You must go to school *clings* My schooling is just a little hectic because we only have ten classes a term to cover everything in the class. Most colleges have 16 weeks, instead of 10, so it's much easier.

Oh, lime-green? Are they -neon- lime green because that's my favorite color in the whole world and you are very lucky to have socks of that variety? I like the kind that will burn out your retinas if you look at them too long ^_^

Mine aren't neon lime green... and I can't find them. Which sucks. So I need to buy some new ones that AREN'T ankle socks because I'm wearing them with hightop sneakers... they need to be VISIBLE.

I think I saw a pair of neon lime green socks... but I think they're too short... *misses her lime green socks because they were PERFECT for what I needed~~~*

;_; Aw, I think the sock gremlins must have gotten them!

Good luck with getting a new pair that aren't ankle socks or finding the old pair!

Euurgh, your workload sounds punishing ;_; Good luck with all your tests ♥

I've... heard of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, I think. *One quick trip to Youtube later* Oh, that's why XD So what's it about?

As for anime recs... the only one I've been watching recently is the new Yugioh 5D's, which is Yugioh set IN THE FUTURE, in a grim dystopian version of Domino City, with motorbikes. And children's card games. Obviously.

Also, Transformers. But I'm sure that doesn't count *dies*

Thanks, I think I did really good! It's actually not too bad, just a lot of information to process quickly (our terms are only 10 weeks long so we only have 10 classes to cover -everything ( ... )

w00t! I know about short terms -_- It's so difficult to cram everything in.

That sounds... twisted o.o I'm gonna have to check it out.

It's set quite a way into the future (much further, it seems, than GX, which was ten years ahead), so no original cast members, at least not yet. They might get a cameo eventually, but I think they'd be ooolllld... There are only a few subbed episodes around at the moment, so we're not too far into the story, but atm there's Yusei, the main character, who's (unusually, for YGO) all serious and quiet, and also Jack, who's shaping up to be the rival/Kaiba-ish character.

And. Oh, don't even get me started. Right off the bat I'd recommend the brand new series, Transformers: Animated Redundant title is redundant. It's made of all the right kinds of crack, and while the animation style is a bit weird, the script is actually surprisingly good (and funny). The movie's good fun too :F And... if you're in the fandom you're expected to be familiar with G1, the first series, which I sort of am, but it's like ( ... )

I was going to recommend Nabari, but someone beat me to it ^_^.;; (Too bad, cuz my recommendation involved calling it a less-low qaulity Naruto crossed with Ouran High School Host Club but with more gender ambiguity and WAY more crack)

That said, Kure-nai is ROCKING MY SOCKS OFF SO DAMN HARD! And Junjou Romantica is just cracking me up. It's just so ridiculously adorable and campy at the same time. And I have this weird suspicion that the closing song might be done by L'arc, but I can't find anything proving or disproving this.

And yaaaay finals. I have my last two on Thursday...not looking forward to them, I already had my juries and my ridiculously tricky Audio Production take-home that I would have failed if I'd had to take it in class without being able to look up my answers, I'm definitely thinking that I need another three weeks or something to study for Physics of Sound and Music. Good luck studying for yours!

^_^ That sounds like an awesome recommendation anyway (yeah, add the words "gender ambiguity" and "crack" into something and I'm so there)

Thanks! I'll have to look those up on wikipedia and add them to the download list. This is so great, I'm not going to have to be bored all summer *w00ts*

Wow, those all sound so hard! In fact, my first reaction was actually "*blinkblink* Sound has physics?" Good luck!

Sound does indeed have physics. If they wanted it to be easy, they'd just call the class intro to acoustics, but I guess they figured they had to make it...simpler, or something? I dunno. But it's basically the same thing. Ew. Still, I have a sneaking suspicion that, except for that class, everything you're taking is about 700 times harder than mine ^_^.;;

Re: ! vadalia May 14 2008, 21:46:14 UTC
Maybe they thought people would associate it with guitars if they called it that? That's the only association I have with the word "acoustic" ^_^

I don't know about that- Nutrition was easy and Med. Term, though a little harder, is kinda like playing with word puzzles. I will grant you that Microbiology is hard as hell though. So we've both got our demon classes and we'll say that the rest are pretty easy.

MF: Fanservice! Kisses! Sound great, especially if it can somehow be sexily screencapped.

H: Hmmm... even without the gay relationship that sounds really fascinating. So it's like "good show cake" with "canon gay frosting"

Thanks!
