ANTH 307 - Post-War French Social Theory - majid

MUS 103 - Musicianship

Plus: internship
plus maybe: independent study - reading heidegger's being and time.

uh huh. too many credits. what not to do?

Post War French Social Theory... oh the nostalgia (this seems to be a reoccuring theme at the moment). Take it. Today in class was the second round of Derrida presentations and my friend Zen had a slide show of pictures of Derrida playing in the background while he was talking. I then got to mention how Majid was keen on theorist gossip during the break. Good times, great oldies. And Heidegger. They like him a lot around here (Germans are big. And are often read in German). I've only read the introductions and part of the first chapter. Someday I'll go back to it I swear. How's thesis treating you? I've been throwing around ideas for my next one (crazy eh?).

what not to take next semester

everyone gets ambitious at this point before registration when they're really psyched about classes, etc. don't get caught up in that.

drop either the internship or the independent study or something. shave off -- youre finishing your thesis. and its winter. everyone hates school in february and march.

but maybe they're worth it.
