Cape Elizabeth, ME

So after work on Friday, Brandon and I left for Cape Elizabeth, ME. It was about a 2.5 hour drive from our house, and we had fun singalongs the whole way up. We didn't end up playing that scavenger hunt game, cause we got distracted by the singalongs and forgot.

We were going to go to Two Lights State Park, but by the time we got there it was 8:10, and the park closed at 8. So we drove about 2 minutes down the road past it, to where this little Lobster Shack resturant was, and it was right on the edge of the water. There was another little parking lot for if people just wanted to park and walk around on the rocks. That's what we did.

I only got a couple pictures before the camera died, but that's okay.

A pretty view of the sunset and the lighthouse from where we were standing on the rocks.

A cool little cave thing.

We found a tiny baby starfish in one of the tide pools. It was so mini and cute!

Gross picture of me, cute picture of Brandon.

We sat on the rocks and explored a little and talked until the sun went down. Then we went on a quest to find Beckett's Castle. It's this old castle that's vacant, and it's supposed to be haunted or something. According to the directions we got from randmcnally.com it was supposed to only be about 5 miles away, however they lie and we never found it. After we gave up, we decided to drive to Portland and stop there on the way home. When we got there, we parked and walked around for about an hour and a half, then I was ready to pass out so we went home.

It was a short little trip, and we didn't really do anything super fun, but I had a really good time just hanging out with him and doing something different from what we normally do. If any of you live in/around New England, Cape Elizabeth is beautiful and you should check it out.
