after a week of fighting off food poisoning, i am back on my feet.
india is becoming home, the red dust, the colored lights, the quick bright eyes and brown faces. of course i am a stranger, not knowing Telegu mata tepu.

on the way home yesterday evening, Jeff (my boss here) commented that India seemed a lot like America 30 or 40 years ago. yesterday i visited our project sites for the first time.
little villages amid the dusty rice fields
greeted people in english and hindi and telugu
sipped numerous cups of rich coffee and tea
at our first site
(the village of Bommininampadu)
the building housing our water system is ready,
it looks like a giant star:
