I see the appeal...but $175K really?!?! For 600 sf?!?!?!

Is that area really about $300 per sf? Or is the owner trying to bend someone over financially?

The area has really gotten that bad (expensive), and we'd be willing to pay that per square foot if it was above ground, well-maintained and updated in the right ways. No way we'd pay that in the basement, after 12 years as a rental with no maintenance, yuck carpet, crumbling brick walls, bars on the windows that open to an alley and dumpsters, no off-street or reserved parking, low ceilings and pipes through the rooms.
