CANONMATES (ALL YU-GI-OH)
Yubel ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [10/10]
For all their individual flaws, Yubel and Juudai are, to put it short, lovers. She loves him, and he, while not exactly the mushy affectionate type, loves her back just as much. After remembering their past life together in canon and fusing his soul with hers as a way of apology and a gesture of love, he's come to realize just how much he cares about her, and never wants to leave her ever again. They're constantly snarking at one another -- affably, of course -- and get along very well. Juudai gets a little exasperated with trying to spread Yubel's horizons out, now that she has no choice but to interact with others and can no longer take refuge in his soul, but it doesn't put any sort of damper on his opinion of her. Insulting her would be insulting him, too.
Johan Andersen ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ [10/10]
Juudai and Johan grew closer than any of Juudai's other friends in an extremely short span of time, though they didn't have all that long to get to know each other. Still, they complement each other very, very well, and treat each other with a great deal of respect -- even if it can be considered getting overly-friendly with one another sometimes, since they tend to behave in a very buddy-buddy type way that can easily be mistaken for something else. Juudai, though he ultimately chose Yubel over Johan, feels guilty for what Yubel did to him, and still wants to mend the gap to some extent, so that the two people closest to his heart aren't mortal enemies, at the very least.
Asuka Tenjoin ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ • • [8/10]
Juudai tries to be careful to treat Asuka the way she wants to be regarded -- as a duelist and a respectable person, not a pretty girl or an object. And he does a fairly good job of it, too, considering he couldn't care less if she was a girl or not, since gender does not make the slightest bit of difference to him. There's a mutual sense of respect and friendship between them, and he's actually grateful that Asuka has quickly forgiven him for the mistakes he made in Dark World, so that they may continue their friendship. He seems to be oblivious about her crush on him, or at least has never mentioned it, but it remains to be seen if he's really in the dark or if he just doesn't say anything about it out of respect for her.
Crow Hogan ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ • • • • [6/10]
Crow and Juudai actually get along very well due to the similar/compatible personalities, and Juudai for one is fascinated by the idea of duelists from the future... and the concept of D-Wheels and synchro summons. Even without that fact coming into play, though, Juudai likes Crow as a person, and thinks he's an honorable kinda guy in general. So yeah, they're bros.
CROSSOVER
Kay Faraday [Ace Attorney Investigations] ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ • • • [7/10]
Juudai loves to tease the crap out of Kay. Good-naturedly, sure, but he still loves to play with her, constantly keeping up the "war" they have going, and they both seem to have fun going at each other. He admires her emotional tenacity, for one, and thinks she's a pretty cool brosis who doesn't afraid of anything. And considering all the things he knows she's gone through in her life, including in Johto, her constant cheer is refreshing and respectable to him.
Kaito Kuroba [Detective Conan] ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ • • • • • [5/10]
While he's not as familiar with Kaito as he is with the rest of the group he travels with, Juudai seems fond of him nonetheless. He thinks the fear of fish is kind of silly -- come on, fish are awesome -- but otherwise has a good opinion of him. Good thing he doesn't know about the whole Kaitou Kid thing, or he might think he was another Edo Phoenix in a different skin or something.
Heather Mason ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ • • • • • [5/10]
Heather is a cool dude in Juudai's book. She's tough, and reminds him of Asuka in a way, only much more of a tomboy and a little more messed up under the surface. He's not afraid to treat them differently, though -- despite the fact that he's done a few dumb things (Christmas rings a bell, sneaking into her room to deliver her present and nearly getting beat up by reflex), he's still quite fond of her, and wants to get to know her better, even though she's much more rough around the edges than anyone he's ever really known in his life.
Hal "Otacon" Emmerich [Metal Gear Solid] ♥ ♥ ♥ • • • • • • • [3/10]
Otacon got pinged by depressing talk in one of Juudai's posts, and they kinda hit it off from there. Juudai sort of feels for the guy, because they seem to be in a similar predicament in making up for mistakes, judging by what they've spoken to one another about. Hal seems like a nice enough guy, too, so he has a feeling they'll get along well.
Rika Furude [Higurashi no Naku Koro ni] ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ • • • • • • [4/10]
At first, Juudai just assumed Rika was your typical young girl. It soon became apparent this was not the case, though, when she revealed to him that she had a connection to a god and had been killed many times, all of which she remembered. He feels terrible that she had to go through that, but also admires her inner strength in dealing with such a thing so well. She doesn't seem to be going batshit insane over it anytime soon, at least... unlike a certain someone he knows... cough.
Yuffie Kisaragi [Final Fantasy VII] ♥ ♥ • • • • • • • • [2/10]
Yuffie and Juudai met at a party in Goldenrod and spoke enthusiastically about food a bit. He doesn't know all that much about her, but he wouldn't mind talking to her again, considering how upbeat she seemed at the time.
Sora [Kingdom Hearts] ♥ ♥ • • • • • • • • [2/10]
Juudai spoke to Sora about a party after the nightmare event in mid-September came to a close, encouraging him to plan something in his usual way, as well as offering to help. They haven't spoken since then, but again, he seemed like a nice enough kid, so more talking would be cool with him.
Tarantulas [Beast Wars] • • • • • • • • • • [0/10]
Tarantulas is a creeper and a douche, and this does not mix well with Juudai. He tried speaking to him once, commenting on how he was treating his Pokemon, and it resulted in an impression that Juudai wasn't particularly keen on. Damn spiders.
Anarchy Panty [Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt] ♥ • • • • • • • • • [1/10]
Panty and Juudai interacted when Panty first arrived, and he tried explaining to her the situation. He mentioned it was a video game, and that... didn't go over so well, considering it's one-track-minded Panty. He doesn't really dislike her, hence the default one heart, but the first impression was kind of off-putting for him.
Comment if your character has spoken to Juudai and I shall add you swiftly!
