[He releases the Heracross, which actually completely ignores Juudai for the moment, buzzing up to the tree he came out of with his beetle-wings and latches onto the trunk, crawling up higher. Juudai follows curiously, moving a branch out of the way to see him... feeding on sap leaking from the bark.]

I had Flare headbutt a tree just because, and this guy fell out. I haven't seen them in the grass or anything, though, so I'm guessing they just stick to trees.

There's a guy in Ilex Forest that can actually teach your Pokemon Headbutt, and you can use it to knock at trees and see what falls out. I probably wouldn't use it all the time, though, unless your Pokemon has a really hard head for some reason, hehe.
