Your Judai is good. He is. I have no issues with that. But I think you have a big problem with commenting around, and then making huge, rambling posts and expecting people to want to reply to them all the same like they would someone else's post.

Just make shorter posts and comment more. I'd like to play with you, as would the rest of the game, I'm sure, but you make it rather hard.

I... don't disagree! |D I had the same problem in the past few games I've been in, as it turns out. And this has actually been brought up to me recently by a few other people, so yes, I think I will have to try to work on tagging around, definitely.

Also, I have a lot of trouble making posts that have something to reply to, as well, that's a problem I'm also aware of. I'm working on posting things that have hooks to them, too... though it doesn't always succeed. But I'm trying in that department, as well! 8|;;;;;

Thank you for the feedback, anon. ♥

AKJSDAHKJADF SORRY, I FORGOT TO REPLY TO THIS. ;A;

I do not mind fourth walling at all! You could probably even tell this one he was a fictional character and he wouldn't believe you anyway, so have at it. XD I have no issues with it, personally.

Why so serious?

With a Yubel here, you've got a reason for being serious now, but before that? I was really :/ at him. A fucking lot.

You/Your Juudai seem to like dragging out his canon. You like making him the center of attention; for example, constantly talking about canon events he got over in canon just to depress him and more to the point, get more attention. A lot of your posts with him are like that, and let's not forget how his threads with Johan, among others, go.

too long? didn't read? I'll make it easy for you.

Lighten up. Remember that Juudai isn't the main character here so don't try to make him one. And lighten up.

While I think you probably could've worded that crit a little better (it came across as kind of... nasty and snarky to me, in a way, and the implication that something that short was tl;dr to me is a little insulting, tbh), I can't really argue the point since it's actually recently been brought to my attention by others as well.

I'm not trying to be :/-worthy on purpose, honest, but I'll attempt to keep an eye out for threads getting too... dramatic or emo in the future, for lack of a better way to phrase it. Gonna be kinda hard with Yubel here, because that's really going to put a strain on him, and him having to leave Johan alone for probably a few months as well (which isn't going to help the way their relationship is perceived at the moment, I'm afraid...), but I'll try.

You tend to ramble. For no apparent reason, your Judai seems to love running his mouth. Your other characters do as well, except you don't even play them 97% of the time.

You also derail threads. This, I assume, has already been brought up to you however. Look at his recent one with Johan. I can count at least two instances when you wanted to make the topic depressing for no apparent reason. I understand it was a serious topic, but knowing these two and seeing how obvious it was that Johan was trying to lighten the mood, you did yourself no favors.

Furthermore, in general, your Judai seems incapable of speaking seriously... seriously. You focus too much on the potential angst and not enough on being genuinely serious. You try to be serious too often as it is.

Which recent thread are you talking about, just so I'm clear? The one in Johan's journal about the police force a few days ago, or something else?

The rambling issue is part of why I haven't posted in a while, actually -- I haven't had a whole lot of things to post about, and every time I've tried to come up with something, it's wound up so rambly and off-topic that it wouldn't even be worth posting. Or had no real hook to it, at that. Sometimes both.

Would you mind linking me to a few more recent examples of whatever you find off in comment threads that you noticed so I can give them another read, possibly? I'd appreciate it. I know my journal entries currently available are more than a little... meh right now, but I've been trying to focus on comment threads for a while for that reason before I start posting things again, so that I know I have him back on track.

Hey there, Qu! I'm not really sure how I can open this in any way better than "I have something to say to you", so well... I have something to say to you. A few somethings, actually, and a lot of it - and I want you to know first that this isn't meant to be personal, or that I mean any harm at all by it, but it's something that I really, really think needs to be said, and before I even attempt to come back with Johan at that. Truthfully, though, I'd type this out even if I was planning on dropping him.

Anyway, here goes. Basically, I'm here to crit you - it's going to be heavy crit, mind you, but that's all it is.

I'm just going to be blunt about this. First and foremost, Juudai is not the main character anymore. That said, you seem to play him and act like he is and should be. If you think this is coming out of left field, just think about how you reacted when you found out he couldn't be involved in rescuing Kay. That aside, however, there's more to it than that ( ... )

Okay, I went back for starters and reread the thread with Kay, but... I don't really see it? I mean, I dunno about that particular example, not... the mention as a whole. I could agree the voice might've been a little off, but overall I didn't really see too much of a problem? I don't know if that's supposed to imply I'm actually metagaming, though, or...? Kay told him about her father, so it isn't like he didn't know or anything. I'm not really sure where the "he can't be wrong" thing is coming from, though. I'm not exactly doubting your word, just, I am having trouble seeing it. :|a

The wordiness is something I apparently had a problem with back at C&C before I rejoined, too, so I will try to cut down on tag length... again. I dunno if it goes hand in hand with "rambling", since I haven't made all that many posts since then, but most likely it does, I suppose, since they're pretty much synonymous.

I disagree that the story is written so he's entirely right -- he was one of the only protags who went out of his way to do a series of ( ... )

With the thread with Kay, it just struck me as... odd how he seemed to be jumping on how he(/you? maybe? I'm not sure how to word that) thought she would react? I can't quite put my finger on it, but that thread in particular really bothered me.

It's not that I want him to wrong, but the way you're writing him, it's like you're using your OOC info of other characters and maybe guessing how they'd react, even if he might not have that information-- or just are having him do that when conversations are typically written like that? I don't literally mean the whole plot and stuff, but I mean little things, like so and so might be upset and Juudai might say something because he catches on and they just go "Juudai...!!" because he saw their true feelings!!!-- that kind of thing always can't happen in RP, but it feels like you're fishing for it a lot of the time ( ... )
