*Typical non apathetic Singaporean's reaction*
Get CEO pay but not the CEO blame when something goes wrong.

*Rebuttal from the powers that be*
Companies who change CEOs whenever something goes wrong would not prosper

*Counter rebuttal*
It is obvious that the CEO has failed to implement proper prevention measures or internal controls in the first place to prevent such an incident from happening. They get such pay to ensure all the bases are covered instead of being able to do damage control. Otherwise we could just pay a mediocre level non thinking(Most generic PSC scholar level peeps would do, just not the actual ones coz they're too pricey) person to follow a fixed protocol when something of this scale happens.

People die everyday. When the time comes (and surely it will for everyone) we may or may not be ready for what awaits us in the after life. I think it is best to just keep moving along and make the most of what we have been given. Sad truth but hey, the earth is only a temporary place of abode. SMILE FROGGIE! - life is too short.
