break through bleeding never seems to end-help!

Really don't know what to do anymore. I have been going through different birth control pills for a year and a half now i think. It all started with break through bleeding, and after being on different pills, exams, estrogen pills, other birth control pills, the break through bleeding doesn't stop. I’ve had breakthrough bleeding on both pills and an IUD but have NEVER had it treated with estrogen, always progesterone.

Not sure if that helps at all, but you’re not alone in the frustration!

That's interesting you weren't put on estrogen. They put me on it for a week because my uterine lining was very thin, almost menopausal thin. But of course, that didn't help and nothing has. It is very frustrating! I'm just ready to leave it as it is and deal with it.

I can’t take estrogen anyway, but even prior to that discovery it’s always been progesterone I’ve gotten. Not sure why.

I recently had a hysterectomy and think it’s the best choice I’ve ever made. The breakthrough bleeding only got worse over the years.

I hope you can get something to work to treat it!
