Cyrus suggested a while ago that I talk to Sahar about letting Pooter stay here on a trial basis. (Sahar has a tiny little girl cat with a huge attitude.) I've been too much of a puss to do it, but not being able to get the situation off my mind, I did and she gave me the green light! I really really hope the little shit :P can behave himself. Aww, I'm so glad Pooter will get to stay with you! I'm sure you'll both be happier that way. :)

Thanks, me too! I just hope the cats will tolerate each other at the least!

I have a tiny girl cat with a huge attitude & she's been living with two sweet, male cats twice her size for 3 years now. She complains about it everyday, but those are the breaks. Are you more worried about Pooter getting hurt, or is your roommate protective of her tiny one?

Hehe is she the cat in your icon? Pooter is also twice Sekou's size--he is pretty big even compared to other males at about 15lbs. He doesn't get along that great with other cats, at least not adult males. He's been formally introduced to three: one was aggressive toward him, he was aggressive toward another, and the last one he tolerated. I've had more success with kittens. (One was male, the other female. He took to the girl really fast, but she died about a week after I brought her home. He became pals with the boy kitty who died about a year later.)

I'm hoping that since my roommate's cat is female and tiny he won't feel threatened. I just wonder about her sassy personality :P I'm not too worried about him attacking he--he's generally not aggressive--so much as causing stress to her. This is her home first and foremost and I don't want to cause any problems!

hey lady! im so happy for you that you get to keep yr kitty with you. make sure you give each kitty something of the others to get adjusted to the smell of each other. and it is best to keep them closed off from one another while they adjust to the idea of living together. however, boy cats are much better to introduce to a girl cat than another girl cat. there are lots of online resources for introducing new cats. check em out. i looked it up when i go a new girl cat and my older girl cat was pissed. however, my younger boy cat was a much easier intro. good luck!

Thank you!! "make sure you give each kitty something of the others to get adjusted to the smell of each other." That's a GREAT idea, never heard of that one before! I'm definitely going to keep Pooter confined to my tiny room for a few days. I foree us driving each other crazy--he HATES being confined/can't stand when doors are closed--but I think he'll settle in soon. I'm here almost 24/7 so he won't get lonely XD He's been introduced to male cats before; I hope it's easier with a female! I just wonder about her sassy personality :P
