I've always wondered if there's some sort of genetic component to an interest in bondage or other such things. Naturally, being interested in bondage my entire life strikes me as somewhat odd

i'd say 90% of it for me is curiosity. doing something "out of the ordinary" likewise, i can remember being interested in it from a very early age.
