From yesterday/today's drabble tag. AU Plastique or thereabouts. Before the horror that is Doomsday catapults into their relationship, Chloe and Davis manage to help a few meteor freaks and take an elevator time out.

( Davis had the idea to help the meteor infected from his ambulance. Whenever one of his patients dematerialized, she was his first call. When they wanted her help he’d let her know. He tagged along with her . She didn’t know whether it was his streetwise nature or a sense of chivalry, but she appreciated it. )

Nice little moment we had there wasn't it? Although ruined by some sort of wall-of-weird-worthy thing as almost all moments for Chloe.

Great concept for the setting, really enjoying it, and the way you end it, love the dramatic thoughtfulness:)

I still have to check off my tab for elevator-set smut but Chloe can have her little uh! spacing out moment (Because from a reasonable perspective- being around a man who looks like Davis IN UNIFORM-- It happens!)

I was actually talking about the idea of Chloe and Davis saving the meteor-infected off the streets of metropolis, working together as partners in crime, a great setting.

But the elevator? YES! Please more, I would love it if you did another when she struggles to focus at all and is lost in the contours of his muscles. Well, that kinda already happened, but MORE PLEASE! Think 'BOUND' from season four starring the How I Met Your Mother's brilliant Robin. Chloe and Clark in an elevator, that was a very memorable episode. And even 'INSTINCT' off eight, there was a pretty sexy ab reveal.

Oh I got it! Paraxdisepink was the first to do that lovely bit of fanoncanon in Leap. I want to do more of it, because if back in Plastique Davis could so much as encourage Chloe to jump into the fray with the meteor infected, and she called him about it, you better bet homegirl is gonna jump at the chance to get alone time with him. ;)

You're gonna make me write more elevator-times?! I should have known. HEE. the claustrophobia and the close quarters appeal to me. There's not looking away from Davis's chest, even if you want to.
Also AB reveals. YAY. I'm rewatching some of the old eps, but I keep picturing Davis.

His eyes were puzzled by her mortified face, the sudden brittleness in her voice. Later he’d show up at her apartment with coffee, offer to be her shoulder. He’d kiss her in her kitchen. Yet, Davis was too much of a nice guy to say anything about the way she crossed her arms over her breasts right then, struggling with the shiver of heat going through her.

Such a beautiful Chlavis moment.

What I really loved about Prey and Plastique is how hard Davis tries to keep this mental distance because it's his idea of what a good guy would do.

Eventually Chloe's Chloe-ness and Braniac got the best of him, but I really liked the UST.
