i watched ST: Wrath of Khan last weekend. If you aren't familiar with the movie, kirk is basically promoted into being a pencil pusher, and will no longer be sexing up the universe. spock gives him a book for his birthday/going away present, inside of which he had written "it was the best of times, it was the worst of times." that's dickens, right
