yes. i attended a vancouver reading 'thundering word heard' when i was there. didn't stay for the next day poetry slam because vancouver was scary and big and dirty and the slam was a special edition limerick slam, and that's not something i wanted to do. the reading was pretty fucking cool. it's been going on for 4 years now at the venue, and the stage had red lights and the cafe was french and it was very hip and good. the vancouver slammaster told me i was awesome and some other people too, but it was still dry. there were two out of the many that got up there that even remotely entertained me. got me going yeeeeeeeah. but that was it. disappointing, again, i suppose. i shouldn't hold such high expectations for people getting up on the same stages as me. i'm not doing what they're doing. i dont' even know what i'm doing. it's frustrating. oh well. i hope you are well. very well. let me know.
