It was a dark and mysteriously misty night, about four years ago. You & I went to a Barry Manilow concert (he sang "Copa Cabana" in Spanish as the encore). After the concert, we walked back to the parking lot, only to discover that we'd left the windows open. The car seats were unmistakably moist. You tried to dry them off with a portable hairdryer (doesn't everyone have one of those?), but only succeeded in burning your left hand. So we sat on the moist seats anyway, and sped off to the nearest drugstore, where we purchased a topical cream to soothe the burn. Lucky for us, Dini Petty happened to be at the drugstore that day, doing some sort of promotional thing. We had a great chat with her, and got autographs (of course!). Next, we made a trip to a used bookstore--the books were all new, but the store was pre-owned. You purchased a books-on-tape copy of Mein Kampf, read by Regis Philbin. I bought two instructional books: one about the art of Origami, the other about the art of Haiku. Later, we went to Bingo Country and ( ... )

There was that time I was strolling past DriveTest in the North Bay Mall, and actually saw you serving customers! What happened to the "must sit in the plastic chairs for one hour before being served" policy?
