I have spent the evening avoiding the news. The total devastation the fires has caused is just overwhelming. We live on the other side of the country and so besides a monetary donation, there is not much else we can do to help. Watching the families on the news is heart-breaking. We have just got back home from another 5 days in Perth. This time we stayed with my Mum. Every morning we got to walk down the flight of stairs to the Marina and take the girls fishing then go for a walk around the beach before stopping on the Coffee Deck for coffee/milkshakes and then heading "home" to veg before venturing out again.
