According to the Doctor he had a device that could heal wounds in time - or rather, show the TARDIS where to do that. He still accepted fairly quickly that said device was nowhere to be found and simply constructed a new one out of things he found in the attic. By the time they needed it he was done.

Let me just say Jack and Fitz FTW!!!! I love their banter. I also love the discussion between the two men. You write their characters so well.
“Partially,” Jack admitted. “But also because I was stranded, and because I wanted to go back to him. Kiss him, then kill him. My goals were simple at the time.”
Great insight into Jack. He has moved on. He built a life for himself. Fitz wants to remain with the Doctor and the Doctor knows he's staying. Beautiful. Simply beautiful.
This was perfect too: “Besides,” the Doctor added, and his fingers brushed, perhaps by accident, against Fitz’s knuckles as he moved. “You’re staying, aren’t you?”
Fitz didn’t really know what to say to that, so he said nothing. It didn’t even seem necessary to stick out his tongue at Jack.
Staying? Well, he definitely was.*sighs happily* This definitely deserves many reviews ( ... )

It was fun writing about these three. Fitz is a ridiculously easy character to write, and the dialogues happened all by themselves, without me having to think much about them. (Except I had to look up the original title of that movie, having only ever seen it in German.) Still, this was the last part of this little series. I'll write another Fitz-returns-to-the-Doctor story soon, but Jack will play a somewhat darker part in that one. It will be an alltogether darker story. But before that happens, there is a NaNo to durvive.
Yay!

I'm glad you're thinking about other Fitz story. :) I'm very curious to see what you've got in mind!
Of course, we've got to survive NaNo first, like you said. ;) It's going to be amazing, exhausting, and exciting! :D I think we should celebrate with a few drinks and a phone call when we've finished NaNo!

I never mind having my mistakes pointed out for me. I've made some that were pretty embarrassing, and no one told me - that's worse!
