Supernatural Season 4 Premier

Yeah. I totally screamed at the television at the end of the episode. And i am a little in love with Castiel (Castiello?).

Surprises:
Ruby. O.o Wow. Dunno if i dig the new meatsuit, though.
Sam + Kathy/Christine .... How very Dean-ish of him.
Castiel's statement that he thought Dean was "one of those special people." If Dean doesn't have magic sparkly powers, then what the hell is going on with him? And if he does have magic sparkly powers, what the hell are they???
The whole mission from God thing. o.o Leave it to Kripke to just lay it all out there like that. I didn't expect Castiel to just up and offer it all, but I LOVED Dean's reaction to the whole thing. Because Dean is hardly anyone's choice o be God champion . . . except for . . . uh . . . God's. Apparently.

Yay! Moments:
Dean's reunion with Bobby. Poor Bobby seemed to have had it rough.
Sam and Dean's reunion. I actually had mixed feelings here. Something about Sam seems a little off to me. Moreso than ripping demons out of their host by waving at them. i could just have read too much fanfiction, though.
All of the ass-kicking Castiel has done. Just . . . so awesome. *will now ship him with Dean like no one's business*
The aforementioned Sam ripping demons out of their hosts. While cool, Dean is totally going to kick his ass.
There were wings!!
Dean bitchslapping the demon!waitress. Twice. Because . . . yeah. How often do you get to taunt a demon?
Also, Dean has perky nipples. XD Awesome.
Sam and Dean lying to each other. =0

Concerns / Disappointments:
Sam and Dean lying to each other. =( And no, the repetition is not a typo. Bad boys.
Sam. Again, something strikes me as off. I expected his reaction to Dean to be a bit more . . . sustained. Grateful. Maybe even needy? Somehow Sam accepting it and moving on after Dean's death strike a bad chord with me, even if it IS the healthy thing. And it makes me worry for Dean a bit, because Sam might not really need him anymore and--right now, at least--Dean still needs Sam. He's 4 months behind the rest of them and has had no oppertunity to move on, whereas Sam has had 4 Dean-less months.

-----

So, so, so much happened in this episode and it felt wonderful (Kripke is the king of emotional rollercoasters), but it also felt rushed. I wanted a lot more interaction between the boys. Castiel and Dean's little moment at the end of the episode almost made up for the lack, but part of me needs to know that Sam and Dean are going to be SamandDean again. And this opener makes me wonder if that's going to be possible once everyone's shown everyone their cards.

And with Sam using his powers, and Dean (so far) still completely human, whatever Dean's mission is kind of worries me. Because at this point, I'm worried that the mission might end of being "Kill Sammy" again. And that never works out well.

Thoughts?

Also, anyone remember what the opening song was? >.> I meant to write it down and got distracted...

Edit: Song found~! ^^v

supernatural, review, yay!
