Gotta agree with you on all points, from the unbridled joy for Obama, to the respect for McCain's and his graceful bowing out, to the intense hate for my upcoming project. Hugs, hon. ♥
Ooooh. Since the Powerpoint presentation from hell is complete, I will probably be online again. *g* Not tonight, though; I've been awake since 6:30 AM yesterday. But my presentation went over well.
Let me know how your project went next time you see me online. ♥ And good luck! *pompoms!*
X3 She was so adorable. It was great to hear her so happy. She marched on Washington with Dr. King when he did his "I Have a Dream" speech. That she can be alive to see this is amazing.
I agree completely. I was also super-surprised at the classiness of McCain's speech. I mean, I realize that a speech for a win and a loss was most likely prepared in advance, but still, it was well-done, he discouraged the boo-ers, and he conceded pretty much as soon as it became obvious that Obama had won, so yes, hats off for losing gracefully.
Also, Miya and I were watching Obama's speech, and just kept remarking on how good a speaker he is, especially compared to our current President. I might actually enjoy watching presidential speeches after January! O_o
