Then his fond exasperation (similar to Sam) about Dean's 'lust' and neverending sins? The worry about where he fits into the scheme of things when Heaven and Hell barely fit between Sam and Dean. You make me feel so bad for Castiel. He's stuck in the worst kind of place. Working with a stubborn charge who's fate is so intertwined with his brother's that Castiel can't even interfere because he knows that would be the worst thing ever. And that he understands Dean is shown throughout because he's very careful about everything he says that might have plausible repercussions to their cause and how Dean acts. (take away his brother forcibly and Dean'd revolt while also being resentful- never a good combo)
I love how Dean is one thing that throws Castiel off his game, makes it hard for him to stay calm and collected. And that Dean has faith in him when he still doesn't believe in God? "Castiel is not Fallen."
Castiel was strangely warmed by the flat certainty in Dean's voice,
*dies happy*
He doesn't believe in God yet, you know," he tossed ( ... )

LOVE the confrontaion btw sam and castiel over dean.
and how cas loves dean in his own way--that was very very cool!
I will have to go back and read the others in this series! SO well done, very impressive.

Thank you. =^^= At the moment, it's just these two fics, but the third and fourth are already in the works. It's a little tricky to pin down when the next one will be up because I rewrite things as the episodes progress.

Castiel is a lot of fun to write, but he never seems to shut up in my head. ^^;; I'm glad you liked the fic, though. Thank you for reviewing. ♥
