082. Evening, Siwon/Kibum
It was one freezing evening when Kibum approached Siwon on the icy porch. Snow has fallen from the grey tinted sky and as the news report said earlier, the snow would stick around a few more days. Kibum sat beside Siwon who had been isolating his self from the others inside because staying inside the apartment just meant that he had to linger with the other members, he had to try to laugh with them and worst, he would have to endure every memory the apartment would send his brain - the memories he had with Sungmin.
It had been seventeen days since Sungmin and Siwon’s break up scene from the nearby sea and it had spread like a wind through the apartment because living with thirteen boys? A secret wasn’t likely to be kept especially when the band mother was good at observing that his favorite bunny had his smile upside down.
“Hyung.”
Kibum’s voice was soft just like the snow and it melted with the atmosphere to but of course Siwon heard it. Siwon had heard the emotions from his dongsaeng’s voice - hesitation, optimism and most of all, yearning. Siwon unlatched his eyes from the melting snow in front of him to look at Kibum and for the first time that evening, he saw how Kibum's face eyes were - calm and full of passion.
“This is not a bad timing to talk to you right?”
“It depends. What are we going to talk about?” Siwon didn’t intended to be blunt or anything he just wanted Kibum to go straight to the point which he knew the younger would surely do but Kibum didn’t spoke with his words - instead he opened the small jewelry casket in his hand and there, a diamond glistened onto the moonlit night. Siwon was taken a back at this. “I beg your pardon?”
“No, no. This isn’t what you think it is. I’m not proposing to you, hyung.” Kibum said and as he did he closed the casket once again and Siwon couldn’t help but note the blush that was creeping onto Kibum’s cheeks. “This… this is for Sungmin hyung.”
“S-sungmin?”
“Yes. I was planning to give it to him as a sign of how I feel for him and I’m planning to do it when Super Junior T goes back from Japan next week and since you’d be on China by the end of the week - I’m asking you now.”
Siwon didn’t knew why but somehow he regretted it, regretted everything, especially the want of being straight to the point because he could swear he just heard his own heart crack as if it wasn’t already broken. Siwon casted a smile on Kibum as he stood up and patted the other’s back.
“We’re not together anymore; do whatever you want.”
Siwon’s smile faded instantly as he walked away from Kibum, walked away from their apartment, walked away from the evening’s event because what was there to smile about? It had been seventeen days since Sungmin and Siwon broke up, yes, but it also had been seventeen days since Siwon had tried to mend his broken heart but he knew - Sungmin was the only one who can mend it, fix it, and bring it back to pieces.
