It was better before
Henry / Sungmin Zhou Mi / Sungmin
Henry stood there in the vacated hallway of the dance studio - guitar case in one hand and cell phone in the other - and all he could think of was how things turned upside down with just one blink of an eye, or maybe it was already destined to happen but he was just to blind - or did he played blind? - of what was happening, of what was unfolding.
He could see them walk hand in hand and they’re laughter and giggles fleet from their open mouths as they passed approached Henry. They immediately stop as they notice the young man standing there and Sungmin smiles - but it wasn’t the same smiles Henry could remember being offered to him a few months back - and he asks if Henry wants to join him and Zhou Mi catch a bite and maybe head off to the movies afterwards and Henry sees Zhou Mi shakes his head a bit when he thinks Sungmin isn’t paying any attention to him.
Henry wants to join them, yes - but not for the reason that he was hungry nor did he wanted to catch a movie - but because he wanted to be with Sungmin and Sungmin alone but since Zhou Mi had joined the picture and was chosen to be part of the SJM and was introduced to Sungmin - Henry seemed to lose his quality time with his hyung and it gives him a strong sense of hopelessness that soon enough - he would also lose that special connection he once had with Sungmin and Sungmin alone.
Henry says no to the offer with a smile that was so fake he feels disgusted and for a minute there he thinks he saw a glimmer of disappointment crossed Sungmin’s eye but then when Zhou Mi said something like don’t worry, Minnie hyung~ there’s still next time, Sungmin smiles once again and Henry surely didn’t missed how Sungmin squeezed Zhou Mi’s hand as a sign that he agrees.
They pass him and Zhou Mi mouths a thank you and Henry could just smile because after all, he had promised Zhou Mi that he’d help him to get close to their cute bunny hyung but then if he knew things would came out like this - he would surely try to press stop and rewind it - rewind it to the moments where it was only Minry and MiMin never excited because… it was better before.
