Private.

There was no attack at Thorne.
It was Diane Archer with her odd, and strangely fascinating experiments. I am still not entirely certain what she was doing.
I swear that Ravenclaw women will be the death of me.

Godrics Hollow was very revealing. It made me think of my sister. I was sure that I could hear her singing. And I could feel many conflicting energies...
I know that what I felt there must be nothing compared to Potter.
It was very moving. His despair. All of his life he has not known what it must be like to have a proper family.
I can relate to that.
At least his parents cared for him enough to potect him. Even though they were gone, he knew they had loved him. For that, he is very lucky, for even if his life was difficult, he had always that reassurance from the start.

I have been thinking. Ernie MacMillan was telling me about ley lines.
The ley lines at Tintagel apparently relate to the serpents on the caduceus. The caduceus is traced back to Thoth, Hermes, the source of all magic. Two twisted serpents represent light and dark magic held in balance.
And the Dark Lord is messing with this balance. I think this is how he is generating enough power to manipulate the wards around Britain.

I said to Ernie that there was a way which I could possibly see the way the energy is being altered. I would have to return to that place where Chaos took me, before. I heard the flute in the mist.
The lure of the dark is always very powerful. The thought that once again I will be able to feel the ultimate power, to see the universe laid before me, a writhing vortex of energy and madness.
I'm tempted.

This is dangerous. The price last time was too high for me to bear, and even despite this I am considering taking this risk again.
So I ask myself, why would I risk this much?
Not for the Order, that much is certain.
For my sister.
I cannot stand the thought that I will not be able to leave Britain.

When I sent Toyah away, I was certain that it was the correct thing to do. We were both in danger and it would take her out of the country, out of reach of our parents and as far from the war as possible.
And now?
The threat from our parents is over. And the Dark Lord is playing with the wards and threatening to isolate Britain from the rest of the world.
If he succeeds, and I have already witness how powerful the mist is, I will not be able to visit her in India.
I am very worried about this.
What if she is taken ill and I am unable to leave Britain to go to her?
What if something happens to me again, and she so far away?
She was very forlorn after my last visit because, since five months I had not seen her while I was recovering from Alessandra's attack. She thought that I did not care for her. Even after she had seen my injuries, it took an entire week for her to be sure of me again. I do not want to go through this every time I visit.
And I keep thinking - what if I had died? I know Padma and Severus will take care of her, but I feel guilty. How would she have coped with the news, so far away? Would she have understood why I left her there? If anything happens to me in this war, I worry that Toyah would hate my memory, believe that I had abandoned her. This makes me very sad.
She has asked Severus when she can come home.
It is not this simple. She is Contessa di Milano. Next in line if anything happen to me. So I have to consider her safety, and balance that with the importance of family. Severus is considering regent. I must obtain an answer from him and write a will.

The happiest time in my life was the few months we spent at the cottage in Oxford, with Toyah, Padma, myself, and occasionally Severus - it felt as though we were almost a proper family. Something I treasure.

Charlie Weasley has said that the mist is not active at the moment. And I was just considering risking my mind, in order to keep it that way, so that I might be able to visit my sister.

The safehouses are secure enough for Hogwarts children, and some of them are only a little older than Toyah.
Thorne is warded enough to be a stronghold for the Order.
And she wants to come home.
And I miss her terribly.

...I think that might be a decision. I will speak to Padma and to Severus before anything is made final.

I wonder how high the price would be? Stop it.

Locked to Severus.

You have been very irritable this week. I wish you would trust me enough to say what is the matter.
How is your hand?
When you have the time, I must to speak with you regarding the wards of Britain and my sister.
